Rise of Entropy
Sarah Gormley Gallery | July 1st 2021
A painting show exploring my train of thought and creativity by processing my character through abstract and surreal thinking. Every painting begins a new experiment, tackling new aesthetic challenges and figuration fueled by my oil pastels, spray paint and house paint. For the end result of these paintings I wanted for them to also feel like tangible forms, as if they were sculptures photographed in a dark setting. Entropy as I use it, relates to my creative process while painting, more notably the transition into the next piece - I almost always build of the previous finished work, implementing new ideas I thought about along the way to create my paintings.
