With over 50 sketchbooks since the beginning... The art of doodling, journaling, and making crappy thumbnails has remained the most beneficial practice for my art. I also get to look back in retrospect at old ideas and see the progress before my own eyes. I try my best to draw everything from coffee shop sessions to first-person meta drawings of myself sitting passenger on a road trip; in-between all those drawings you'll find the real gold, a crappy pen drawing that inspired an entire body of work.
