Painter’s Brain, 30x40”

A painters brain. Drawing from recent works I saw in-person at the Hungarian national gallery such as Cezanne’s still life’s, Károly Lotz‘ bather, and inspiration such as Lisa Yuskavage’s monochromatic paint style.

Sometimes I question the usage of my identifiable character in all of my work and how much it’s become the vehicle of every painting - so at times I daydream the idea of transitioning back to a “classical” painter to paint pretty faces and people. It comes and goes, I get bored of the realism, which has recently created some interesting imagery in my newest artworks.
