New paintings by Daniel Rona

This came to fruition for me in the midst of a year designated to exploration, a year of putting out my feelers of what feels good to make while pandemonium continues all around me.

I decided to shut off my brain and continue forward with what I do best, just painting for a while. Oil pastel to canvas without much deliberation. Intuitive but each mark becomes intentional as I build the gesture of each “icon” I’ve painted.
